We are driving home from picking Lauren up from school. I ask her, "So, Lauren who tied your shoes today for you?" See, Lauren still does not know how to tie her tennis shoes & she has to wear them on Fridays for Gym. Well, since the snow has come, she no longer has me to tie her shoes for her in the morning since she takes her shoes & wears her boots. She always seem to convince someone at school to tie her shoes for her.
So, today after she told me Ms. Culver tied her shoes for her, I asked her when she was going to learn to do it on her own. She told me she tries & Ms. Culver has given her a story to work with to tie her shoes, but that she just can't do it. I'm sure it's more won't than can't. After a few moments of silence she aks, "Mom, what if I never learn to tie my shoes, & husband has to do it for me?" All I could do was laugh.
